Dean Rainey

I am Dean Rainey, a person who is incapable of writing about myself in the third person and, by dint of sheer persistence, the second-longest-singing member of the Art Mob. I joined the group in 1992 after seeing a notice posted on the bulletin board at Little Red School House, where my children were schoolmates with Ruby, daughter of Mob founder Marcia Tucker and her husband (also a Mobster) Dean McNeil.

I also sing with the classical chorus Cerddorion, and have in the past sung as a member of The Glass Menagerie Chorus, the Judith Clurman Chorale, and the Juilliard Choral Union, and as a guest with several other choruses here in NYC.

My fellow Mobsters, both living and dead, are very dear to me, and sharing music with them is richly rewarding. I am delighted that the Mob has performed a few of my original compositions and many of my song arrangements.
